A small lithium ion/lithium metal battery falls under the below categories: For lithium ion cells and batteries, small battery exceptions are provided for: Lithium ion cells having a Wh rating not exceeding 20 Wh; Lithium ion batteries having a Wh rating not exceeding 100 Wh. For lithium metal cells and batteries, small battery exceptions are provided for: Lithium metal cells having a lithium metal content not exceeding 1 g; Lithium metal batteries having a lithium metal content not exceeding 2 g.
